North Carolina High School Basketball - Highland Tech trounces Sugar Creek

January 24, 2024: Gastonia, NC 28052

The Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Sugar Creek Wildcats (Charlotte, NC), 55-16 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Rams (12-5) will now prepare for their test against East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Warriors go into the 1A/2A Southern Piedmont test with a 1-12 record. In their last test, East Gaston was trounced by Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC), 73-33, in a league test.

The Wildcats now own a 2-12 record. They play next when they host Piedmont Community Charter for a 1A Metro 8 test on Friday, January 26. Sugar Creek will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 68-22 league win over Carolina International (Concord, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 7-7.
