Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Loyalsock Township Lancers (Williamsport, PA) and the host Warrior Run Defenders (Turbotville, PA), saw Loyalsock Township's basketball squad wallop Warrior Run by a count of 52-18.

With the victory, Loyalsock Township upgrades its record to 15-2 on the campaign. The Lancers host Hughesville (Hughesville, PA) to play the Spartans in a Heartland III challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 15-3. Hughesville lost 52-48 in their recent league challenge against Southern Columbia Area (Catawissa, PA)

Next up, the Defenders play the Mount Carmel RED TORNADOES (Mount Carmel, PA) in a Heartland III challenge, on Saturday, January 27. Warrior Run will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The RED TORNADOES come into the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 56-47 league loss to Bloomsburg (Bloomsburg, PA).
