Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Morehead Panthers (Eden, NC) and the visiting North Forsyth Vikings (Winston-Salem, NC), saw Morehead's basketball squad hold off North Forsyth by a count of 32-30.

With the victory, Morehead upgrades its record to 3-11 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to West Stokes (King, NC) to play the Wildcats in a 2A Mid-State challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 3-15. West Stokes won 2-0 in their recent league challenge against Walkertown (Walkertown, NC)

Next up, the Vikings play the Reidsville Rams (Reidsville, NC) in a 2A Mid-State challenge, on Friday, January 26. North Forsyth will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 68-31 league loss to T.W. Andrews (High Point, NC).
