South Central Falcons (Winterville, NC) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC), 67-28 in a league bout.

With the victory, South Central upgrades its record to 14-2 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Northside - Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC) to play the Monarchs in a 3A/4A Big Carolina bout on Friday, January 26. The Monarchs come into the bout with a record of 1-15. Northside - Jacksonville lost 38-26 in their recent league bout against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC)

Next up, the Bears play the Havelock Rams (Havelock, NC) in a 3A/4A Big Carolina bout, on Friday, January 26. New Bern will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 7-9 record after their 50-42 league loss to D.H. Conley (Greenville, NC).
