The Windsor Dukes defeated the visiting Southampton Indians basketball team by a tally of 45-34 in Wednesday's league battle.
The Dukes now possess a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Franklin for a Tri-Rivers battle on Friday, January 26. Windsor will confront a Broncos team coming off a 72-31 league loss to Brunswick (Lawrenceville, VA). The Broncos record now stands at 4-14.
The Indians (7-6) will now prepare for their battle against Greensville County (Emporia, VA). The Eagles come into the Tri-Rivers battle with a 10-1 record. In their last battle, Greensville County beat Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech (Petersburg, VA), 52-23, in a league battle.
