Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Western Harnett Eagles (Lillington, NC), 41-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Triton upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Hawks travel to E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC) to clash with the Golden Bulls in a 3A/4A All-American bout on Friday, January 26. The Golden Bulls go into the bout with a record of 11-5. E.E. Smith won 55-12 in their recent league bout against Western Harnett (Lillington, NC)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Harnett Central Trojans (Angier, NC) in a 3A/4A All-American bout, on Friday, January 26. Western Harnett will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 44-29 league loss to Triton (Erwin, NC).
