The American Leadership Academy Patriots (Lexington, SC) basketball knocked off the host Batesburg-Leesville Panthers (Batesburg, SC), 52-32 in Wednesday's league test.

The Patriots (9-6) will now prepare for their test against Cardinal Newman (Columbia, SC). The Cardinals go into the test with a 1-5 record. In their last test, Cardinal Newman went down by Heathwood Hall Episcopal (Columbia, SC), 44-33, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Strom Thurmond for a non-league test on Friday, January 26. Batesburg-Leesville will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 41-30 non-league loss to Fox Creek (North Augusta, SC). The Rebels record now stands at 2-4.
