Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), 67-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Freedom upgrades its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Patriots host Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC) to play the Cougars in a bout on Friday, January 26. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 7-8. Alexander Central lost 55-52 in their recent non-league bout against Watauga (Boone, NC)

Next up, the Huskies play the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 26. Ashe County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Pioneers come into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 55-52 non-league win over Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC).
