Prince Edward County Eagles (Farmville, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Heritage Pioneers (Lynchburg, VA), 43-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Prince Edward County upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Eagles host Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA) to play the Statesmen in a non-league bout on Friday, January 26. The Statesmen go into the bout with a record of 5-4. Randolph-Henry won 36-25 in their recent non-league bout against Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA)

Next up, the Pioneers play the Liberty Christian Bulldogs (Lynchburg, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 25. Heritage will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 9-4 record after their 61-45 non-league win over Amherst County (Amherst, VA).
