The Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA) basketball nipped the visiting Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA), 37-36 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Mustangs (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA). The Warriors come into the non-league contest with a 7-2 record.

The Fighting Hornets (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA). The Flying Flucos come into the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Fluvanna County edged Louisa County (Mineral, VA), 40-32, in a non-league contest.
