In Wednesday's league battle, the host Whitney Wildcats soccer squad scored a close 1-0 win over the Granite Bay Grizzlies.
The Wildcats (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against Del Oro (Loomis, CA). The Golden Eagles go into the Sierra Foothill League battle with a 8-2 record. In their last battle, Del Oro nipped Folsom (Folsom, CA), 6-1, in a league battle.
The Grizzlies (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills, CA). The Trojans go into the Sierra Foothill League battle with a 8-2 record. In their last battle, Oak Ridge was nudged by Rocklin (Rocklin, CA), 2-0, in a league battle.
