In Wednesday's league battle, the host St. Genevieve Valiants soccer squad scored a close 4-0 win over the Mary Star of the Sea Stars.
The Valiants (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy (Downey, CA). The Warriors go into the Camino Real battle with a 12-3 record. In their last battle, St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy nipped St. Anthony (Long Beach, CA), 3-0, in a league battle.
The Stars (0-12) will now prepare for their battle against St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs, CA). The Swordsmen go into the Camino Real battle with a 5-8 record. In their last battle, St. Paul by Paraclete (Lancaster, CA), 1-0, in a league battle.
