In Friday's league test, the A&M Consolidated Tigers (College Station, TX) basketball squad defeated the visiting College Station Cougars (College Station, TX), by a final score of 50-41.

Coming up next, the Tigers play the Brenham Cubs (Brenham, TX) in a 5A Region III District 17 test, on Tuesday, January 28. A&M Consolidated will attempt to improve on its 12-17 season record. The Cubs come into the test with a 21-8 record after their 74-66 league loss to Huntsville (Huntsville, TX).

The Cougars (11-11) will now prepare for their test against Rudder (Bryan, TX). The Rangers come into the 5A Region III District 17 test with a 14-13 record. In their last outing, Rudder was defeated by Lake Creek (Montgomery, TX), 59-53, in a league outing.
