North Carolina High School Basketball - North Stanly crushes Albemarle

The North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC), 80-59 in Friday's league bout.

The Comets now possess a 15-2 record. They play next when they host Union Academy for a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley bout on Tuesday, January 28. North Stanly will play a Cardinals team coming off a 65-43 league loss to Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 9-5.

With the loss, Albemarle falls to 1-15 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host South Stanly (Norwood, NC) to play the Rowdy Rebel Bulls in a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls go into the bout with a record of 11-6. South Stanly won 76-65 in their recent non-league bout against North Rowan (Spencer, NC)
