In Friday's league contest, the host Alexandria Valley Cubs basketball team scored a good 78-58 triumph over the Cleburne County Tigers.
The Valley Cubs (19-3) will now prepare for their contest against White Plains (Anniston, AL). The Wildcats go into the 4A Area 12 contest with a 10-17 record. In their last contest, White Plains was topped by Anniston (Anniston, AL), 70-38, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Cherokee County Warriors (Centre, AL) in a 4A Area 12 contest, on Monday, January 27. Cleburne County will attempt to better on its 13-12 season record. The Warriors go into the contest with a 10-6 record after their 67-57 non-league win over Bremen (Bremen, GA).
