North Carolina High School Basketball - Alleghany overwhelmed by South Stokes

January 24, 2025: Walnut Cove, NC 27052

In Friday's league test, the South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) basketball squad trounced the visiting Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), by a score of 76-53.

Next, the Sauras encounter the Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC) in a 1A Northwest test, on Tuesday, January 28. South Stokes will attempt to improve on its 14-2 season record. The Granite Bears come into the test with a 7-8 record after their 58-56 league loss to East Wilkes (Ronda, NC).

The Trojans (7-9) will now prepare for their test against Grayson County (Independence, VA). The Blue Devils come into the non-league test with a 3-8 record. In their last test, Grayson County was routed by Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA), 74-69, in a league test.
