The Compton Early College Rising Phoenix bounced the host Animo City of Champions Wildcats basketball squad by a final score of 69-43 in Friday's league outing.

Next, the Rising Phoenix face the Pacific Lutheran Stingrays (Gardena, CA) in a Freelance outing, on Tuesday, January 28. Compton Early College will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Stingrays enter the outing with a 0-5 record after their 46-33 league loss to Animo City of Champions (Inglewood, CA).
