The Freedom Falcons (Oakley, CA) basketball edged the host Antioch Panthers (Antioch, CA), 49-47 in Friday's league bout.

The Falcons now possess a 8-13 record. They play next when they host Mt. Eden for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 25. Freedom will play a Monarchs team coming off a 58-47 non-league win over Napa (Napa, CA). The Monarchs record now stands at 10-7.

With the loss, Antioch falls to 6-14 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Liberty (Brentwood, CA) to play the Lions in a Bay Valley bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 20-2. Liberty won 71-60 in their recent league bout against Pittsburg (Pittsburg, CA)
