Texas High School Basketball - Avinger overwhelmed by Union Hill

In Friday's league test, the Union Hill Bulldogs (Gilmer, TX) basketball squad trounced the visiting Avinger Indians (Avinger, TX), by a score of 60-38.

Next, the Bulldogs encounter the Sulphur Bluff Bears (Sulphur Bluff, TX) in a 1A Region III District 20 test, on Tuesday, January 28. Union Hill will attempt to improve on its 10-10 season record. The Bears come into the test with a 10-15 record after their 52-38 league loss to Avery (Avery, TX).

The Indians (1-21) will now prepare for their game against Bloomburg (Bloomburg, TX). The Wildcats go into the 1A Region III District 20 game with a 3-17 record. In their last game, Bloomburg was trounced by Saltillo (Saltillo, TX), 57-42, in a league game.
