In Friday's league contest, the host Friendswood Mustangs basketball team scored a good 50-38 win over the Ball Tornadoes.

The Mustangs (24-4) will now prepare for their contest against Santa Fe (Santa Fe, TX). The Indians come into the 5A Region III District 20 contest with a 10-18 record. In their last contest, Santa Fe was topped by La Porte (La Porte, TX), 81-47, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Tornadoes battle the Texas City Stingarees (Texas City, TX) in a 5A Region III District 20 contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Ball will attempt to better on its 9-10 season record. The Stingarees come into the contest with a 5-20 record after their 59-29 league loss to Friendswood (Friendswood, TX).
