In Friday's league contest, the visiting Bay Springs Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 63-60 triumph over the Lake Hornets.
The Bulldogs (19-5) will now prepare for their contest against Scott Central (Forest, MS). The Rebels go into the 2A Region 5 contest with a 8-9 record. In their last contest, Scott Central was tipped by Newton (Newton, MS), 44-36, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Hornets battle the Newton Tigers (Newton, MS) in a 2A Region 5 contest, on Monday, January 27. Lake will attempt to better on its 8-7 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 12-6 record after their 44-36 league win over Scott Central (Forest, MS).
