The Villains (13-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Winston-Salem Prep (Winston-Salem, NC). The Phoenix come into the 1A Northwest Piedmont challenge with a 9-6 record. In their last challenge, Winston-Salem Prep trounced Phoenix Academy (High Point, NC), 75-31, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cardinals encounter the Triad Math and Science Academy Bengals (Greensboro, NC) in a 1A Northwest Piedmont challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Cornerstone Charter will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Bengals come into the challenge with a 2-10 record after their 62-44 league loss to Carver (Winston-Salem, NC).
