In Friday's non-league contest, the host Howell Rebels basketball team scored a good 56-48 triumph over the Brick Memorial Mustangs.

The Rebels (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against St. Rose (Belmar, NJ). The Purple Roses go into the Shore A - Central contest with a 11-5 record. In their last contest, St. Rose was topped by Union Catholic (Scotch Plains, NJ), 62-59, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Middletown North Lions (Middletown, NJ) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 25. Brick Memorial will attempt to better on its 7-10 season record. The Lions go into the contest with a 10-6 record after their 65-42 non-league win over Keansburg (Keansburg, NJ).
