In Friday's non-league contest, the host Lacey Township Lions basketball team scored a good 71-59 triumph over the Brick Township Green Dragons.
The Lions (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Toms River South (Toms River, NJ). The Indians go into the non-league contest with a 2-13 record. In their last contest, Toms River South was topped by Toms River East (Toms River, NJ), 43-37, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Green Dragons battle the Barnegat Bengals (Barnegat, NJ) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 27. Brick Township will attempt to better on its 6-10 season record. The Bengals go into the contest with a 9-6 record after their 57-31 non-league win over Ocean Township (Oakhurst, NJ).
