In Friday's league test, the Burns Hilanders (Burns, OR) basketball squad trounced the host McLoughlin Pioneers (Milton-Freewater, OR), by a final score of 57-29.

Next, the Hilanders clash with the Riverside Pirates (Boardman, OR) in a 3A Eastern Oregon test, on Saturday, January 25. Burns will attempt to upgrade on its 13-5 season record. The Pirates come into the test with a 14-4 record after their 87-78 league win over Umatilla (Umatilla, OR).

The Pioneers (6-10) will now prepare for their test against Nyssa (Nyssa, OR). The Bulldogs come into the 3A Eastern Oregon test with a 11-7 record. In their last test, Nyssa was overwhelmed by Burns (Burns, OR), 61-50, in a league test.
