In Friday's league contest, the visiting California Academy of Math & Science Coyotes basketball team scored a big 55-33 triumph over the Lennox Academy Panthers.

The Coyotes (8-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Geffen Academy (Los Angeles, CA). The Bruins come into the Coastal challenge with a 7-4 record. In their last challenge, Geffen Academy was routed by Vistamar (El Segundo, CA), 63-60, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers encounter the SEED: LA Grizzlies (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 27. Lennox Academy will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record. The Grizzlies come into the challenge with a 6-11 record after their 58-51 non-league loss to Hawthorne Math & Science Academy (Hawthorne, CA).
