Texas High School Basketball - Western Hills overwhelms Carter-Riverside

January 24, 2025: Fort Worth, TX 76116

The Western Hills Cougars basketball team scored 80 points and limited the visiting Carter-Riverside Eagles to 27 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now have a 7-18 record. They play next when they travel to Dunbar for a 4A Region I District 8 game on Tuesday, January 28. Western Hills will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 58-47 league loss to Southwest (Fort Worth, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-14.

With the loss, Carter-Riverside falls to 2-19 on the campaign. The Eagles host Eastern Hills (Fort Worth, TX) to confront the Highlanders in a 4A Region I District 8 game on Tuesday, January 28. The Highlanders go into the game with a record of 15-7. Eastern Hills won 57-52 in their recent league game against Benbrook (Benbrook, TX)
