North Carolina High School Basketball - West Stanly triumphant over Central Academy

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) and the visiting Central Academy Cougars (Monroe, NC), observed West Stanly's basketball team overwhelm Central Academy by a score of 77-52.
The Colts (7-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Wolf Pack come into the 2A/3A Rocky River challenge with a 5-12 record. In their last challenge, Parkwood trounced Forest Hills (Marshville, NC), 59-55, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) in a 2A/3A Rocky River challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Central Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-16 season record. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a 12-5 record after their 63-58 league win over Forest Hills (Marshville, NC).
