The Chetopa Hornets basketball team scored 40 points and limited the visiting Southern Coffey County Titans to 16 in the Hornets league triumph on Friday.

The Hornets now have a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Marmaton Valley for a Three Rivers game on Tuesday, January 28. Chetopa will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 64-24 league win over Southern Coffey County (Leroy, KS). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-4.

With the loss, Southern Coffey County falls to 0-10 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Marmaton Valley (Moran, KS) to confront the Wildcats in a Three Rivers game on Monday, January 27. The Wildcats go into the game with a record of 7-4. Marmaton Valley lost 67-44 in their recent non-league game against Iola (Iola, KS)
