The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks (Maricopa, AZ) and the host Coronado Dons (Scottsdale, AZ), observed Desert Sunrise's basketball team overwhelm Coronado by a score of 72-51.
The Golden Hawks (4-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Yuma (Yuma, AZ). The Criminals come into the 4A Black Canyon challenge with a 7-5 record. In their last challenge, Yuma trounced Tempe (Tempe, AZ), 71-65, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Dons encounter the Cortez Colts (Phoenix, AZ) in a 4A Black Canyon challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Coronado will attempt to improve on its 3-12 season record. The Colts come into the challenge with a 11-3 record after their 62-37 league loss to Dysart (El Mirage, AZ).
