New Mexico High School Basketball - Newcomb defeats Crownpoint

The Newcomb Skyhawks (Newcomb, NM) basketball were winner over the visiting Crownpoint Eagles (Crownpoint, NM), 62-50 in Friday's league bout.

The Skyhawks now possess a 6-12 record. They play next when they travel to Zuni for a 3A District 1 bout on Wednesday, January 29. Newcomb will play a Thunderbirds team coming off a 50-43 league loss to Thoreau (Thoreau, NM). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 10-8.

With the loss, Crownpoint falls to 5-12 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM) to play the Eagles in a 3A District 1 bout on Wednesday, January 29. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 13-5. Navajo Prep won 58-49 in their recent league bout against Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM)
