Next, the Cardinals clash with the Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX) in a 5A Region II District 9 test, on Tuesday, January 28. Melissa will attempt to improve on its 16-11 season record. The Leopards come into the test with a 22-6 record after their 78-76 league loss to McKinney North (McKinney, TX).

The Yellow Jackets (19-7) will now prepare for their test against Greenville (Greenville, TX). The Lions come into the 5A Region II District 9 test with a 13-15 record. In their last test, Greenville was routed by Anna (Anna, TX), 52-39, in a non-league test.
