In Friday's league test, the Obion County Rebels (Troy, TN) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Dyer County Choctaws (Newbern, TN), by a score of 72-52.

Next, the Rebels encounter the South Gibson Hornets (Medina, TN) in a 3A District 13 test, on Tuesday, January 28. Obion County will attempt to improve on its 14-7 season record. The Hornets come into the test with a 14-9 record after their 49-45 league win over Dyersburg (Dyersburg, TN).

The Choctaws (5-15) will now prepare for their test against Crockett County (Alamo, TN). The Cavaliers come into the 3A District 13 test with a 7-12 record. In their last test, Crockett County beat Milan (Milan, TN), 45-31, in a non-league test.
