North Carolina High School Basketball - Lexington triumphant over East Davidson

January 24, 2025: Thomasville, NC 27360

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Lexington Yellowjackets (Lexington, NC) and the host East Davidson Golden Eagles (Thomasville, NC), observed Lexington's basketball team overwhelm East Davidson by a score of 97-72.

The Yellowjackets (8-7) will now prepare for their challenge against South Davidson (Denton, NC). The Wildcats come into the 1A/2A Central Carolina challenge with a 1-15 record. In their last challenge, South Davidson was routed by North Rowan (Spencer, NC), 93-50, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Golden Eagles encounter the Thomasville Bulldogs (Thomasville, NC) in a 1A/2A Central Carolina challenge, on Wednesday, January 29. East Davidson will attempt to improve on its 4-13 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 5-11 record after their 90-46 league loss to Salisbury (Salisbury, NC).
