The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Franklin County Lions (Carnesville, GA) and the visiting Stephens County Indians (Toccoa, GA), observed Franklin County's basketball team overwhelm Stephens County by a score of 82-48.

The Lions (10-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Hebron Christian (Dacula, GA). The Lions come into the AA Region 8 challenge with a 10-9 record. In their last challenge, Hebron Christian trounced East Jackson (Commerce, GA), 63-54, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Indians encounter the Elbert County Blue Devils (Elberton, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 25. Stephens County will attempt to improve on its 1-16 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 7-11 record after their 77-62 non-league loss to Warren County (Warrenton, GA).
