The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Greensville County Eagles (Emporia, VA) and the visiting Franklin Broncos (Franklin, VA), observed Greensville County's basketball team knock off Franklin by a score of 60-51.

The Eagles (10-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Forest Park (Woodbridge, VA). The Bruins come into the non-league challenge with a 12-5 record. In their last challenge, Forest Park dropped by Potomac Senior (Dumfries, VA), 68-66, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Broncos encounter the Petersburg Crimson Wave (Petersburg, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 25. Franklin will attempt to improve on its 6-10 season record. The Crimson Wave come into the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 60-59 league win over Thomas Dale (Chester, VA).
