In Friday's league contest, the visiting Wakefield Warriors basketball team scored a good 40-32 triumph over the George C. Marshall Statesmen.
The Warriors (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Langley (McLean, VA). The Saxons go into the District 2 contest with a 5-10 record.
In their next game, the Statesmen confront the McLean Highlanders (McLean, VA) in a District 2 contest, on Monday, January 27. George C. Marshall will attempt to better on its 10-6 season record. The Highlanders go into the contest with a 8-8 record after their 62-40 league loss to Langley (McLean, VA).
