The Jefferson Blue Jays basketball team scored 65 points and restricted the visiting Herculaneum Black Cats to 47 in the Blue Jays league win on Friday.

The Blue Jays (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Valle Catholic (Ste. Genevieve, MO). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 7-8 record. In their last challenge, Valle Catholic defeated Kingston (Cadet, MO), 60-55, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Black Cats battle the Northwest Lions (Cedar Hill, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 27. Herculaneum will attempt to better on its 1-10 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 58-57 league loss to Normandy (St. Louis, MO).
