The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Homewood Patriots (Homewood, AL) and the visiting Parker Thundering Herd (Birmingham, AL), observed Homewood's basketball team overwhelm Parker by a score of 78-57.

The Patriots (16-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Hayden (Hayden, AL). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 16-5 record.

In their next game, the Thundering Herd battle the Minor Tigers (Adamsville, AL) in a 6A Area 9 challenge, on Monday, January 27. Parker will attempt to improve on its 8-12 season record.
