The Jesup J-Hawks (Jesup, IA) basketball edged the visiting Union Knights (La Porte City, IA), 62-58 in Friday's league bout.
The J-Hawks now possess a 6-6 record. They play next when they host Wapsie Valley for a North Iowa Cedar - East bout on Saturday, January 25. Jesup will play a Warriors team coming off a 56-46 league loss to Sumner-Fredericksburg (Sumner, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 7-7.
With the loss, Union falls to 12-6 on the campaign. The Knights host Grundy Center (Grundy Center, IA) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league outing on Friday, January 31. The Spartans enter the outing with a record of 14-0.
