Maine High School Basketball - Penobscot Valley knocks off Lee Academy

In Friday's non-league contest, the host Penobscot Valley Howlers basketball team scored a good 59-49 win over the Lee Academy Pandas.
The Howlers (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME). The Lynx come into the C North contest with a 14-0 record. In their last contest, Mattanawcook defeated Woodland (Baileyville, ME), 71-60, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Pandas battle the Stearns Minutemen (Millinocket, ME) in a D North contest, on Monday, January 27. Lee Academy will attempt to better on its 7-7 season record. The Minutemen come into the contest with a 5-9 record after their 64-58 league win over Southern Aroostook (Dyer Brook, ME).
