The Shallowater Mustangs basketball team scored 51 points and limited the visiting Littlefield Wildcats to 46 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now have a 11-4 record. They play next when they travel to Friona for a 3A Region I District 2 game on Tuesday, January 28. Shallowater will confront a Chieftans team coming off a 79-21 league loss to Slaton (Slaton, TX). The Chieftans record now stands at 4-20.

With the loss, Littlefield falls to 16-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Muleshoe (Muleshoe, TX) to confront the Mules in a 3A Region I District 2 game on Tuesday, January 28. The Mules go into the game with a record of 1-13. Muleshoe lost 73-49 in their recent league game against Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX)
