Virginia High School Basketball - Lunenburg Central sneaks past Nottoway

The Lunenburg Central Chargers (Victoria, VA) basketball edged the host Nottoway Cougars (Nottoway, VA), 55-52 in Friday's league bout.

The Chargers now possess a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to Essex for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 25. Lunenburg Central will play a Trojans team coming off a 44-31 league loss to Westmoreland (Montross, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 3-3.

With the loss, Nottoway falls to 5-9 on the campaign. The Cougars host Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA) to play the Eagles in a James River bout on Wednesday, January 29. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 8-4.
