Georgia High School Basketball - Marist held off by Southwest DeKalb

In Friday's league test, the Southwest DeKalb Panthers (Decatur, GA) basketball squad got by the host Marist War Eagles (Atlanta, GA), by a score of 62-55.

Next, the Panthers encounter the Tucker Tigers (Tucker, GA) in a AAAA Region 5 test, on Tuesday, January 28. Southwest DeKalb will attempt to improve on its 18-2 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 16-4 record after their 72-44 non-league win over Hebron Christian (Dacula, GA).

The War Eagles (12-7) will now prepare for their test against Blessed Trinity (Roswell, GA). The Titans come into the non-league test with a 3-14 record. In their last test, Blessed Trinity was nipped by Providence Christian Academy (Lilburn, GA), 57-50, in a non-league test.
