The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Marquette Defenders (Bellevue, IA) and the visiting Midland Eagles (Wyoming, IA), observed Marquette's basketball team overwhelm Midland by a score of 104-20.

The Defenders (16-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Waterloo East (Waterloo, IA). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 8-6 record. In their last challenge, Waterloo East trounced Fort Dodge (Fort Dodge, IA), 72-57, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles encounter the West Liberty Comets (West Liberty, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Midland will attempt to improve on its 0-15 season record.
