In Friday's league contest, the host Normandy Vikings basketball team scored a close 58-57 triumph over the Northwest Lions.
The Vikings (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Principia (St. Louis, MO). The Panthers go into the non-league contest with a 17-0 record. In their last contest, Principia nipped Priory (St. Louis, MO), 74-25, in a league contest.
Next up, the Lions meet the Herculaneum Black Cats (Herculaneum, MO) in a non-league battle, on Monday, January 27. Northwest will attempt to advance on its 3-5 season record. The Black Cats enter the battle with a 1-10 record after their 65-47 league loss to Jefferson (Festus, MO).
