The North Forrest Eagles basketball team scored 37 points and limited the visiting Poplarville Hornets to 34 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now possess a 4-13 record. They play next when they host Collins for a 2A Region 8 game on Tuesday, January 28. North Forrest will confront a Tigers team coming off a 85-68 league win over Mize (Mize, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 7-11.

With the loss, Poplarville falls to 1-17 on the campaign. The Hornets host Salem (Tylertown, MS) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league game on Saturday, January 25. The Wildcats go into the game with a record of 0-17. Salem lost 51-17 in their recent league game against Enterprise (Brookhaven, MS)
