California High School Basketball - Palo Verde Valley thwarts Southwest EC

January 24, 2025: Blythe, CA 92225

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets (Blythe, CA) and the visiting Southwest EC Eagles (El Centro, CA), observed Palo Verde Valley's basketball team knock off Southwest EC by a score of 71-63.

The Yellow Jackets (8-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Brawley (Brawley, CA). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 15-8 record. In their last challenge, Brawley prevailed over Holtville (Holtville, CA), 79-52, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Holtville Vikings (Holtville, CA) in a Desert challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Southwest EC will attempt to improve on its 4-16 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 5-11 record after their 79-52 league loss to Brawley (Brawley, CA).
