In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Phil Campbell Bobcats basketball team scored a good 59-50 triumph over the Phillips Bears.
The Bobcats (13-16) will now prepare for their contest against Tharptown (Russellville, AL). The Wildcats go into the non-league contest with a 0-14 record.
In their next game, the Bears battle the Hubbertville Lions (Fayette, AL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 27. Phillips will attempt to better on its 8-13 season record. The Lions go into the contest with a 19-5 record after their 65-54 league win over Berry (Berry, AL).
