Texas High School Basketball - Port Neches-Groves knocks off Sterling

In Friday's league contest, the host Port Neches-Groves Indians basketball team scored a good 54-41 win over the Sterling Rangers.
The Indians (12-13) will now prepare for their contest against Port Arthur Memorial (Port Arthur, TX). The Titans come into the 5A Region III District 19 contest with a 20-9 record. In their last contest, Port Arthur Memorial was topped by Beaumont United (Beaumont, TX), 54-51, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Rangers battle the Nederland Bulldogs (Nederland, TX) in a 5A Region III District 19 contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Sterling will attempt to better on its 17-13 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 19-9 record after their 46-43 league loss to West Brook (Beaumont, TX).
